Pakistan and Turkey are likely to be removed from the United Kingdom’s travel red list, according to the UK government. Travel advisories for countries banned from flying in the United Kingdom will be changed soon.

There is some pressure to ease restrictions on passengers arriving from Pakistan. These changes are more likely to be approved by the government on Thursday. Passengers from 60 countries are still not allowed to enter the UK.
Despite the fact that quarantine rules were relaxed last month, fully vaccinated travelers are still returning from amber list countries to avoid self-isolation. Turkey is accompanying Pakistan, under the red light of the UK, a country of 60 countries, whose officials said they will be moved to the amber list within the next few days.

The Turkish embassy in London said the latest scientific data "reinforces our expectation" that the country "will be removed from the red list at the next review." He said the number of cases in Turkey was "decreasing and lower than in the UK", with the seven-day average in Turkey being 232.46 cases per 100,000 people, compared with 464.76 in the UK.
The embassy also sought to demonstrate transparency about its data, saying that Turkey had now downloaded the third genome sequence from all countries in the world, and adding that the countries currently allows fully immunized Turks including the United States, Germany, France and Ireland.

The ministers also face calls to remove Pakistan from the red list. Labour MPs Yasmin Qureshi and Conservative MPs Rehman Chishti, who led Pakistan’s all-party parliamentary group, wrote to Transport Minister Grant Shaps urging him to reclassify it as amber.
