Climate change is happening and it’s happening real fast. Countries are taking precautionary measures but are those measures enough?

In Pakistan Climate Change Minister Zartaj Gul stated that 23 national parks have been established in the country as well as the planting of a billion trees to fight climate change.

Speaking at the inauguration of Kalash Park near Kamalpur Interchange, she said “Pakistan is facing the worst effects of climate change, which not only increases the temperature but also affects the ecosystem”.

She said Prime Minister Imran Khan has become a world leader on climate change because he has pushed the Pakistani people as well as the international community to plant as many trees as possible to fight climate change.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan quickly recognized the problem and prioritized it by launching a 10 billion tsunami tree program in the country to control and hopefully lower the impact of climate change.

Zartaj Gul said the government has also introduced means to lower the impact of environmental risks caused by the vehicles. Similarly, the district administration has been activated to adopt environmental protection policies and plant as many trees as possible under the clean and green programme.
